National Drill Competition'07

After the many months of preparations, NDC'07 ended last sat.
Congatulations to all the teams! In our eyes, each contingent is a winner for all the time, effort, sweat and tears that you put in. May the friendships forged, the lessons learnt and the memories shared continue to be a part of your life.
In the next few weeks, we'll be posting more to address the common mistakes that we spotted at this competition.
Indeed, it was a fruitful competition, to see how the standard of drill across all the companies have improved tremendously. Special mention goes to the relatively new companies that have performed wonderfully. Great job girls and trainers!

Well, we have our own list of aknowledgements
We would like to thank all participants, trainers, officers, helpers who have been faithfully doing/teaching drill for the past few months.
We would also like to thank all officers and helpers who helped to support this event in their various committees. We couldn't have done it without you. Thanks for the friendship, laughter, hard work and service. :)
Most of all, we would like to thank God for His wonderful provision and guidance throughout the planning and execution of this event. Truly, all glory belongs to Him!

timing

did you know that timings by the timer should only be heard within the contingent? :-)

marching

The timing for quick march is 120 paces per minute
This means that in 1 second, you would have to complete 2 paces

WOW!

Falling in & out

Did you know that when you fall in, you are in rehatkan diri position?

To fall out from sedia position to tie your shoelaces, you just have to do a right turn. No taking a step backwards or forward or anything. Just a simple turn to the right and bang.

It's easy to remember how to fall out, it's just the exact opposite of falling in

Senang diri

the donut man, the donut man, the donut man... haha

No, seriously...

Did you know that senang diri is a command that can be given and executed regardless of the direction you are facing?
That you don't have to be facing the front in order to execute this command?
