Manpower needed (National Drill Competition 2011)

Dear DIs,

Next year, the major event that will be coming will be the National Drill Competition 2011 which will be happening on the 12th and 19th of March.

As it's a national competition(organised by drill committee), we would definitely need your (DIs) help and your help will be appreciated.

If you are able to join us be it on the 12th and 19th or either one, do email us at edrillcomm@gmail.com and indicate which day will you be able to help out in. (it will be the whole day ya? )

Upcoming Drill Events!

Drill Day Camp - 13th November 2010, Saturday
Want to perfect your drill standard? Practice definitely makes it all perfect! Do sign up for our Drill Day Camp where you will be doing drill for the whole day! Sounds tiring? Fret not! At the end of the day, you will feel the sense of accomplishment!

No one to teach drill in your company? This is also the time for officers to brush up on their drill so as to impart the perfected skills to your girls!!! Come and join us please?

Drill Instructor Qualifying 2011 - 20th November 2010
We are adding one more session of DI Qualifying, just in case you cannot attend the 2nd round next year or you fear that you may not pass the first time round! (pssst... it's not that hard to pass! Really!!!) You just need to be smart and consistent throughout the Practical Assessment! Of course you will need to have good knowledge of drill whereby you will be tested during the theory session! Looking for confident girls and officers to come join us, in the GB Drill family! =)

Pre requisites:
Girls: Attained Drill Stage 1 to Stage 3 badges (and you must wear them on during the DI Qualifying!)
Officers: Know and can EXECUTE Drill Stage 1 to Stage 3 movements

Drill Competition 2011
=) Yeah! Aren't you ladies excited!!!?? We are having our Drill Competition next year!!! Who will win the Challenge Shield of each respective Section? Stay tune to find out!

DRILL INSTRUCTORS NEEDED!

We are looking for Drill Instructors who are able to help out on both days for the Awards Parade and Ceremony!

Awards Parade and Ceremony

There will be a parade after the ceremony. Companies please note the following:

1) To send a girl (Sergent and above) as the Color bearer to form part of the Color Party for both the ceremony and the parade.

2) Primary companies to seek help from Secondary companies for the representatives.

3) Guard-of-Honour comprises of girls from the Drill Competition 2009, Gold Award Recipients.

4) Compulsory participation in Supporting Contingents
- 3 girls per company (Secondary Companies)
- 12 girls (Both primary and Secondary Companies)

Rehearsal:
Date: 10 April 2010, Saturday / Time: 1pm – 5pm
Attire: Blue National T-shirt with skirt and boots
Things to bring: Colours with poles, crest, holsters, gloves & water bottle

Reporting Times:
- Colour Party (Colour Bearers) & GOH Contingent: 1pm
- Supporting Contingents: 2:45pm

*Please have lunch before reporting.
*Colours can be kept in MGS after rehearsal.

Actual Parade & Ceremony:
Date: 17 April 2010, Saturday / Time: 2pm - 5pm
Attire: Full GB Uniform (Girls & Officers)

Reporting Times:
- Audience & Award Recipients: 1:15pm
- Parade Participants: 10am (lunch will be provided)
Things to bring (parade participants): Water bottles, gloves & holster.

Calling out to all OFFICERS! Want to learn more drill movements so that you can impart your knowledge to your girls? We will be conducting our first session of Basic Officers Drill Course (BODC) 2011 in March. Please sign up now!!!

Attire: GB National Shirt with Nametag & School/GB skirt with school shoes (bring boots for drill)

Consent form to reach GBHQ before the 23rd of Jan. Any girl without consent form will be sent home. WE ARE SERIOUS!
