Post Drill Competition Updates

Hi All,

Yes, we will be posting comments from judges for the different contingents. The team is currently working very hard on this, collating the comments, deciphering(the handwriting part..) it and typing it out on the computers!

It will definitely come. GBHQ will keep you all posted! :)

Thanks for the kind words, the team appreciates it.

And now, back to more assignments.

Ms LMR

1. could you allow comments using other types of ID instead of blogger ID? thank you.

2. i'm from 1st coy, class of 2000... it's been ages since i did drill but i always loved it!! (started in p6 with 1st coy inter-squad drill comp.) i was timer in sec 2-4 and reserve commander for inter-squad drill comp in sec 3. for school open day in 1999 or 2000, we did an AMAZING music drill performance to sonicflood's "i want to know You" -- it was awesome!! i loved rehearsing and performing that piece. i also took DI course in sec 3 or 4 but i don't know if i eventually got my DI badge, or if i did i may have misplaced it since then (oops). have not gone back to gb since leaving sec sch. but i will always miss drill.

3. main reason i'm here is i have forgotten all the commands for drill comp... from when we ask the arranged-by-height squad to march out into the square, then stop and turn to face commander, then ask marker to march forward and then go into sa-dua and contingent formation etc. etc.... was wondering if you could post the entire thing?? hehe... would really appreciate it. thanks in advance!!

hope all gb girls will love drill. (unfortunately they got us to remove the sole studs in sec 3 or 4 and i miss the nice sound of metal on concrete!)

Hi!
A question from the competition judges' comments abt "illegal moves" - how come jerking of heads is illegal?

And dear "disillusioned" - i'm Ms Elaine Toh (old timer with 1st). If you'd like to pop by school, the commands you're asking for are on the GB notice board :-) email me (elainespt@yahoo.com) and we can chat!

thanks!
